My brake pedal makes a clicking sound when depressed and when I let off but it's only when you push hard. Anyone ever had this issue?

Is it the pedal hitting something, coming from the brakes themselves, somewhere else? I've never had any issues with the pedal itself.

And oddly enough it hasn’t happened in about a week. It also stops when it rains. It functions perfectly though. Weird

I've had the leverage bind up on my pedals before and for me it was the little dowel with a pin that was loose. I just tightened things and lubricated them and all was fine for me.

You wouldn’t happen to have a picture of where that is would you? I’ve never messed with the pedals.

Not handy. I'll see what I can get. Car's at home and I'm at work for now.

Ooh, I just remembered another detail though. Not sure if it was clutch or brake, but one of them was clunking and it was the firewall bolts were loose. Must have been clutch, because I'd remember messing with a booster if I had to. So, you could check the nuts on the engine bay side of the firewall and make sure they're on tight.

Will do thank you. I should note that it doesn’t happen all the time and it stops when or after it rains. Weird.

I've been visualizing it, but still haven't taken pictures of the pedal parts. Sorry.

So it turns out its the spring in the brake booster. The dealer will replace it under warranty.

Yes! I was wondering about this the other day and came up with something inside the booster maybe clicking. I should have typed it in to get credit. Glad it's figured out!

Yea, they had no hesitation about replacing the Brake Booster. Best service I've had from a dealer in a while.
