Alright this is the deal. Had my 240 for a few months. Occasionally when I go to start the car there will be a click sound, not continous just one click, if I turn the key a few times car will start. Now I know it's not the starter because I had a mechanic put in a new one did the same thing after a few days, so put my old one back in. i just got a new battery today, still did it a bit of clicking. I had my alternator tested at autozone seems fine (though my brake and battery light were blinking) What else could this be? It's quite the annoyance and want to get this fixed, help a fellow 240er out!

What happens when you jiggle the keys when it is in the "Start" position?

Anyways, recheck your battery terminals, make sure they're tight.

Could be the ign switch.

Can't say i've tried that yet. Could it possible be dirty terminals? I am going to clean them with baking soda and water. They look pretty tight to me. Is the ignition switch expensive?

I was going to say ign switch as well. They are pretty cheap, $30-50.
