ok i have gone on my mighty ebay quest of turbo parts. So far i have purchased a front mount intercooler and piping for an sr20det. I need to know all what i need to put in the custom turbo setup. I know turbocharger [DUH] please give me advice on which kind. Also what other stuff do i need to do to the engine so it wont shoot out the front like a big *** bottle rocket:icesangel

Thank you in advance :)

the sr already comes with a turbo..... But just get a bigger turbo if you want, maybe some bigger injectors depending on how much boost you wanna run. A nice 3 inch downpipe would be could. Alot of guys choose the top mount manifold over the stock on. An as long as its tuned correctly it wont shoot out liek a bottle rocket. SS has a sr stock bottom end at 540whp.

ok need advice on which to go with fmu or bigger injectors. The motor is an SR20 but did not some with a turbo or intercooler. I bought it from Streetimports.com It came with an ECU, transmission RWD 5 speed, and engine. Tanx ^.^

? SR20DET comes with a turbo but his motor swap didn't come with the turbo.

Get a stand alone. TecII or something. LOL. No seriously 300zx fuel pump or Walbro. Stock injectors should work fine until you want to push more out of it or unless it didn't come with them. What a T3/T4 will work fine for right now until you build the block a little more. What the other guys said would start you off in the right direction. What are your goals for the enine? HP? What are you going to use it for (daily driver, drift, 1/4)?

ok sorry forgive me for being tired lol. The motor is a SR20DET. It didnt come witha turbo. I would like to get 320 whp in the end [stepdad has a supra thats not tricked out] . The car will be driven as my car but i wont drive it that much lol. I am thinking about learning how to drift in it. The funny thing is my dad and i went into the parking lot and slid sidewayz like all teh way across it and i was speechless that a 40 year old guy even could drift like that O.O But newayz i would love to save a buck on turbos lol. Heres what ive bought so far.

1)Nice big intercooler 2)Piping

For some reason im having dificulty finding a good place to buy the downpipe, manifold and all that good stuff. Assistance on that would be great as well ^_^

oh come on man, you can get downpipes for a dime a dozen on ebay and manifolds as well. **** you can get an SSAutochrome manifold for $150 and replace it later when it inevitably breaks. turbo wise, you can go many ways but the BigT28 seems to be a good choice in that power range. i myself like a nice kick in the *** when i downshift instead of waiting for a larger turbo to spool, so the Big28 is my choice and what i will be buying in the near future. i'm only aiming for ~300rwhp give or take and i know that turbo will be quick spooling, direct bolt on, and make the power i want out of my car.
