i was wondering if i wanted to get rid of the orange turn signal in the headlights, would it be ok if i just open the housing of the headlight and take it out? or would i end up removing the entire plastic part and would it just be a bulb showing without the plastic relector part? i would get the 06 headlights except money doesnt seem to like me so i dont have much of it...

I think I am about to try as well. I do live in Wisconsin though and have to park outdoors(we just got like 6 inches of snow and it will not get above freezing until march)... You can buy cheap reflectors a lot of places (for bikes and trailers) that often have adhesive backing. I am thinking about trying to cut and shape one of these pieces to size, that way I can at least cover the bulb. Let me know how yours works and I will do the same!

From previous experiences, i think buying florescent light covers works really well. I used to drive a 95 Honda Accord and when I cleared the corners for that car thats what i used. You get a big piece for about 5 dollars so you have more than enough to keep messing up and re-doing it. But you're gonna need some really sharp scissors to cut it.

heres a couple pics, its the only ones i can find....my sister smashed it while driving drunk

tail lights too

Thats my plan...to use the light covers. But depending on who finishes first, and if i see your pictures, I might try your way hahah.

Sounds like a good idea. I did a quick search on e-bay and couldn't find florescent light covers. Where would I find them?

the only way to get rid of the orange turn signal in the headlight is to take the light off and then open it up and somehow cut the orange piece of plastic out of the light housing. it's not an orange bulb or an easily removable part. not that it cannot be done, but it is a PITA.

I can't stand that orange light and have been looking for a mod to replace it since I bought my car. I ended up buying some '06 headlights off of ebay, but haven't had the opportunity to install them yet. I am making a few other top secret mods to them before I install them

They should sell it at like a Home Depot or any hardware store. From what I remember, its a huge piece about 2 to 3 feet for about 5 dollars.

Yeah from my last car, I remember the turn signal on the tail light being a PITA. The opening was as wide as the bulb so what I did was use my screw driver and smash it and take out the broken pieces. And then I realized I had to open the housing to put in the clear piece so thats when I got my heat gun, but the heat gun helped a lot cuz on the other tail light i just opened the housing without smashing the orange piece and it was a lot easier and less time.

What do you think of just putting these on? They have a black background too that looks pretty sweet.

I finally attempted to clear the orange turn signals this morning and turned out to be a complete failure. Removing the bumper was way easier than I thought, and only took about 5 mins, 10 at most. So I finally got the bumper off and when I was trying to unscrew the bolts for the headlights, I DIDNT HAVE THE RIGHT SIZE I even borrowed my roommate's tool set. Putting the bumper back on was a PITA! and it took about 45 mins to an hr to put back on. So this project is postponed even further until I can get my hands on the right size tools.
