1994 J30, without an OBD outlet, how does one clear the Check Engine light?

if there's no problem, a simple disconnect of the negative battery terminal should have reset it.

start reading page EF EC 49 / pdf page 177 on how to access the ECM from below the glovebox.

need to use the mode selector to enter mode2 and count if you have the red LED or the engine light code 55 (no malfunction)

11 of those codes will keep the engine light on during operation, so you must fix it first.
