Clearing check engine light

After the repairs are done how do you clear the MIL? Haven't had money to get a clitons repair manual yet.

Unplug the battery for half an hour. Unless you have a consult cable and that can do it for you.

well mine has been with no battery for days now so hopefully it won't come back on? What if it does? I don't have a repair book for it yet.

there are free FSM downloads on this site. i suggest you get one. plus, chiltons wont show you how to read/clear codes

So they told me how to for every other car I've owned but not the 240 ok. I guess when I get one and it does it will prove that everything you read on the internet shouldn't be trusted?

just think about it with common sense. chiltons was made for generally every car buy some peaple. the Factory Service Manual was written buy the guys that made the car. chilton may say how to, in my experience they dont but, a100% garanteed that the FSM with show more, and more indepth than any chiltons
