clearence issues?

i ve read about wheel clearence issues on the g. to be more specific 18s. ne 1 have any info on this.

18s are a bad idea on a G. They're so big that you'll have to run a rubber-band tire. On top of having a terrible ride, if you're lowered practically at all you'll rub.

what bout w/ 17s r there ne issuses w/ those

17s will fit fine, make sure to get the proper tire size. You're probably limited to around a 17X7.5 with a 225/45 series tire, which will probably so tall as to make your speedo/odo a bit off anyway. Use a tire sizing calculator like this one - http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
