I've heard people talking about them on here before how do you make the orange on your taillights clear? every 240 I've seen with it looks good than the stock orange.

You buy new tail lights from ebay... Theres no magic sauce that makes your stock tail lights become clear if thats what your asking.

I mean its personal preference really, i think they are hideous. If you like them go for it.

He's not speaking of a taillight replacement. Rather replacing the amber section of the stock tails. There was a write up at one point. It was pretty much taking it apart, and cutting a florescent light diffuser to fit.

Sounds like a lot of effort for something that doesn't make your car faster. Just man up and buy the tail light assembly from clearcorners or something. Or just slap some stickers on the car.

i had a buddy that did something simmilar to this, but not on a 240. the guy took off his tail light and put it in the oven low temp for a little bit to melt the glue that was holdin the lens on, poped them apart and i think he used something like reducer or thinner, pretty much something that will take off paint . i think it was a film on the inside of the light. i havent paid attention to the 240. i dont know if its just colored plastic or a tint. as long as its not colored plastic you should be able to get it clear. hope this helped in some way.

The fastback taillight segments are held in by screws. The hardest part is getting the cut edges to look decent, and even that's not hard with the right sand paper.
