I've had my 2010 rogue for a couple of months. Today I notice these lines going up the edge of the rear fenders. When I looked at them closely I noticed there were thin strips of clear film. Then I noticed there were two more on each side between the rear and front doors (only the very bottom part). They seem to be protecting the edges and they wrap around the metal. Was this something the dealer forgot to remove or they supposed to be permanent? Can I remove them without hurting the paint?

there supposed to be there...every rogue has them and they do exactly that, protect the edges just like a clearbra protects the hood/bumper

Yep... its great stuff... so be sure to leave it on. In this case It's protecting the covered edges from paint chips due to rocks thrown from your tires.

Todays paint finishes are not as strong, or as durable as they were years ago. As a result both manufacturers and individuals alike are adding paint protection film to their cars. In fact, after doing much research on the film, I elected to have the entire front of my car, all the way to back to the windshield, as well as both rocker panels, the windshield pillars, and side view mirrors covered with it. NOTE: When an entire area is covered and the edges of the film go all the way to the edge of a door or body panel you don't even know it there.
