Maybe some one already on here removed it already,I dont see any screws any where to do so,Any ideas.Mine was scratched up bad with a dirty shop rag at one point,You could see swirl marks when the sun would shine on it,So i had it replaced and there are still light scratches in it and dirt on the other side,I think i will try to tackle this my self replacing with some thing that is better Like lexan or plexiglass.Just be careful cleaning the plastic off,i never seen worse plastic in my life like the stuff they use from nissan,Look at it, and it scratches just wiping some dust off with a microfiber cloth.

I had the same problem with my 2004 Frontier. TWICE! Replaced it once, happened within a few weeks after that...

Hi, I'm having the same problem too. The tachometer lens on my 2006 Altima is totally scratched and stained, I bought it like that. I tried to clean it at first but I was just scratching it more.

Is there a way you could teach me how to replace it ?

Thanks in advance for your help !

To remove that cluster looks like a pain - check out the service manual. There's instructions in steps with matching diagrams. http://www.nissanversa.org/generalfaq.shtml (to CodeRed or EV, that manual is under the FAQ section - shouldn't it be under the downloads section? And is it possible to have one download that has all the files in it?)

It's probably just plexiglass, and that comes with special cleaning instructions. From http://www.rplastics.com/plexcare.html "The Number 1 Problem with Plexiglass acrylic is the use of incorrect cleaners. Yes, we said "cleaners". Please... never, ever, use cleaners containing ammonia. Cleaners such as Windex or 409 will harm your new piece of acrylic. Use only products specifically recommended for cleaning acrylic such as Novus #1, or Brillianize, and a soft cloth. (All are available in our showrooms). Never use a dry cloth or your hand to clean your acrylic! This rubs the dirt and dust INTO the acrylic as much as it rubs it OFF. First, blow the dust or dirt off, or use water and a soft cloth to float the dirt off. Then use a recommended cleaner to complete the job. Note: a mild solution of dish detergent and warm water takes off stubborn dirt easily without harming the acrylic if you've run out of Novus #1 or Brillianize."

This goes for pictures frames in your house that may be plexi, as well as parts on your car.

Hope this helps

Not a very intelligent design move considering the number of people that run the car through a carwash.

It would be nice if a car maker like Nissan had a place on their website for owners to voice their concerns about things like this (scratchy plexiglass) and they would take them to heart when designing new cars or redesigning between model years. Let current owners actually have input into future product design.

If it's bad enough, I wonder if an aftermarket seller would design a replacement glass/plastic panel.
