Clear Corner Question

I just got JDM clear corners (i use to have the ALL clear eBay ones)

Is it normal for it to be lit like this? (Because normally both sides are lit)

With the all clear lens you should have an amber bulb, so no, that's not "normal." You'll be flashing white at people which is strange and I believe illegal. And those are the Nismo ones, it looks like. OEM JDM was partially amber.

In the state of NC i can have White or Amber signals. NORMALLY on a USDM and my old eBay clear ones the front side would lite up and the back side would to. The front side woudl also be the indicators.. On an 1157 Socket..Means that Its a running and indicator/brake light. On an 1156 Socket its either a running light OR an indicator light BUT not both. My problem here is that BOTH sockers are 1156 on each Corner...meaning..That one will only be lit and the other will only be an indicator. THE ODD part is that in the USDM corners and my eBay corners my Indicator llights were 1157 (meaning its on and indicates turn signals) but my backs were the small bulbs (194)...So my question is were JDM's light made to be lit this way, or did i get a weird signal? Because i called Z1 motorsport (where i DID NOT get my corners from) and they said that they're JDM Imports use the 1157 and 194 bulbs, meaning that it'll light both sides on. Im just rather confused right now. I am going to end up using my OLD USDM harness to have 1157 in front and 1156 in back by splicing some cables.

Hmmm. I wonder why the other isn't lit. Which one is which? As in which one blinks? If the one in the pic is blinking, then the other one may not be on because your running lights aren't turned out. Doubt it's that easy, but people make silly mistakes.

No the one pictured is the all the time running lights..when i indicate the one thats turned off in that picture...turns on. Im just a little confused as to why this turn signal is like that is all...and it may be a normal thing on this signal...im not not use to seeing half the clear corner on haha. I've just never seen nor heard of a 300zx turn signal that is made this way (that has TWO 1156 sockets in EACH turn signal)

i dunno i emailed the guy who i bought it from haha...im actually starting to liek the way it lights up now...ppl are no longer confused when i signal

Zombie post, sure sure. Just wondering - these Stillen clear corners must be discontinued now, right? I can't find them anywhere. Closest thing I can find are these "Nismo" clears from CZP (I'm led to believe they are just regular JDM tho?)

Plus you have to bake these open and cut the orange out... ugh.
