Recently redid my taillights with Rustoleum Lens Tint and wanted to do a clear coat over it. What kind should I use?

I know for a fact that it's different than the clear coat that the VHT nightshades needs. It's the other kind of clear coat (either Urethanes or Lacquer, whichever one isn't the one that VHT uses).

Hmm ya I'm gonna contact Rustoleum after the holiday and see what they recommend.

Please do this. I clear coated mine the first time I sprayed them with Rusto and the clear literally melted all of the Rusto off. It was like a crazy chemical reaction type thing.

i was actually going to post a new thread up about a clear coat over the VHT tint spray question

I'm not trying to thread jack or anything

I just finished applying 3 coats of Rustoleum Enamel Clear Coat over 3 coats of VHT tint spray. One light came out perfect because I did 3 light coats of clear coat, but unfortunately for the other taillight, i sprayed 3 heavier coats of the clear coat and it actually looks hazy/cloudy. Would I have to wait for it to finish drying for the full 24 hours for it to look clear or do I have to remove all the paint/clear coat and start all over again?
