I have one and really like it. I live in Nebraska, and there's a ton of gravel on the roads, so I'm sure it's helping to prevent rock chips and paint damage. I think it'll be even more helpful this winter.

I just wish they made somethig like it for the windshield. I've picked up three rock chips that needed repair since I picked it up in April.

This is something you definietly want to invest in.

I am going to clear bra my car soon. 3M is the manufacturer of the Clear Bra. There are two types that are used most frequently right now. The first from 3M is the Scratch Resistant, I forget the name, but it is a high durable brand.

3M bought out Venture Shield, which is also a manufacturer of the clear bra. The Venture Shield Ultra is what is applied to most hoods because of the size of it.

Ideally, there are packages that you can purchase for standard vehicles that range in what areas need to be covered.

The package I am getting is, 3M on full front bumper, side mirrors, partial fenders, and top strip ontop of rear bumper. The Venture Shield Ultra will be applied to the whole hood. I was quoted $800 for this job.

You definietly want to invest in a high-end clear bra product such as 3M. Some factors to worry about are Yellowing from lowerend companies using the clear bra. You definietly want to go with something high end.

I just purchased my G last week and had the clear bra installed on the fron bumper and half the hood for $535 before
taking it home.I could have gone with the front fenders but was more concerned with the bumper and top of hood.

What you need to be concerned about if you have a a light color car is chips that bring out the dark primer behind
the paint.

You cannot bring to car wash the car for a week after the application, just remember.

So far so good, just bugs on the bumper but they are easy to clean off and have to
say,I think it is a good investment.

I have the clear bra on the front lip, the whole front bumper, front part of the hood, and the side mirrors. I wouldn't go without it. Front paint still looks brand new. The chrome grill not so much - need a clear cover for that :gapteeth:

If they install it right you can't even tell it's there:

I highly recommend it. Be sure to use a good installer. I've had mine on since December 2006. Still looks pretty much the same.:

I'm sure quality can vary depending on installer and film type, but when done right these are awesome.

I have a friend who installs clear bras in Atlanta -- I got it for the first time on my previous car and I'm about to get it done to my G37. I'll never have another car without one (unless it's an intentional beater.)
