hey guys im about to buy an upper plenum tommorow from my friend, problem is he didnt keep it covered and its been sitting in his garage for awile so who knows how many spiders live in their... whats the easyest way to clean out the inside so nothing goes into my engine? can i spray a hose through the balance tube hole with the throttles open to flush it out then use a compressor to get rid of all the water or will this damage something? thanks guys

I would take the tb's off though it's not needed and blast it with air first. You can hose it out as well without damaging anything just give it time to dry.

+1 just leave it in the sun and let it dry and you should be fine. While you are cleaning it, it would be a good time to also scrub the gasket surface just to make sure there is no old gasket material left on it.

BTW.. I see you own a couple Miatas... NICO now has a Miata subforum incase you didn't know. Check it out in the "no parking" section no-parking-zone.html
