I remember quite awhile ago someone had an issue in which they had an undesirable event occur in their car and needed a good upholstery clearner to remove human waste from their car.

I find myself in that same position and would like to go back to that advice and receive any other tips anyone may have.

I tried searching for it but I got in an infinite loop of "you need to be logged into search" and "your already logged" when I tried.

Could someone point me to the thread or help me out?

I'm not sure which past thread you are referring to, but I think I get the jist of what you're saying. For cleaning car upholstery I recommend a product called "Tuff Stuff". It's a foaming aerosol spray with a yellow cap. You can buy it in the automotive section at Wal-Mart. It works really well. If you have something that is extra hard to get out, you can use Resolve carpet cleaner. After it's clean you can use Fabreeze to for the smell. Oh...and stop letting your drunk friends puke in your car!

I find Blue Coral to be the most effective for deodorizing (to "freshen" upholstry, I used it in an old Jetta that belonged to a chain smoker). If the upholstery is in need of a good cleaning, use Turtle Wax's carpet shampoo (green can!!! not the yellow one!) Tuff Stuff evaporates too rapidly to be useful...

Thank you for the information and for finding that link. I think I might try to take off the seat cover altogether and give it a cold wash / hang dry as suggested in the previous thread...

Has anyone actually done this?
