I was wondering if there was anything I should be worried about when cleaning the MAF. Like something I shouldn't touch with carb cleaner. Any tips or any advice would be appreciated.

The main thing you want to stay clear of is the fine little metal element. If you snap that....GL.

actually the main thing you want to clean is the hot wire elements. The car is equipped with a self cleaning function in which the elements are heated to a extremely high temperature to burn off any deposits, but it doesn't really do the trick all the time. Take a q-tip and some rubbing alcahol and GENTLY wipe the elements. You can clean the remainding portions however you want as long as you use a cleaner that leaves no oily residue.
