What do you guys use to clean your instrument cluster? My plastic cover is really dirty, but I don't want to scratch it...

Any suggestions?

Get a small duster type brush (very soft) and get all the dust off first, then wipe them with a clean well wrung Absorber. Don't use any chemicals on them! Most chemical cleaners have ammonia and you don't want that on your plastic.

Use a microfiber towel. They can scratch easily. I would use water first, if that works. If not then I would try something else.

I suggest a microfiber towel as well. I use that a a microfiber covered sponge to clean the instrument cluster and nav screen.

In the case of the towel get an 'edge less' towel. Many are sewn in such a way that the thread used on the edge can easily scratch various plastics and paint finishes.

I use a pressure washer and box of q-tips....

how about one of those cans of compressed air used for cleaning computer key boards and then a damp micro-fiber towel...

First the problem with towels is you need to be concerned with the dust itself regardless of how good the cloth is.

The can of air sounds good but you need to keep in mind the same thing as when using on the computer. You need to keep it upright so it will not put liquid out of the nozzle. I have seen some of this really mess up plastic and even the circuit boards when that occurs. Not sure if this applies to all canned air but I have seen it often enough to always be careful when using any.

You could also maybe use a brush as suggested above but instead of just a brush use a camera brush with the sqeeze bulb. On a large area this would be a pain but for something small like the instrument cluster not that big of a deal. If it is more than just dust I would go with a little water.
