What do you guys recommend for cleaning the boot? I dont really like armor all as it leaves everything oily and I've heard that it can damage vinyl. My boot is in decent shape but has a few spots on it that I'd like to try and treat while I'm home this weekend. What do you guys use?

303.

Or, you can clean it with just soap and water and then protect with 303 or Lexol (blue bottle).

my father always used murphy's oil soap or something like that and it doesn't leave that annoying shine like other vinyl care products did... I used it on all my cars but since I moved to TX I can't find it anymore. I usually use the self wipes for vinyl/leather that they sell at the dollar store... they don't leave a shine either though who knows how they are for the protection of the vinyl.

Speaking of boot clean up. Plastic lining at the bottom of my boot cover cracked several places, so I Completely get rid of it. First of all, it looks clean, no sharp edges, and it fits fine too. I was wondering if it was a bad thing to do. How about you guys? I wonder if anyone has his/her boot with perfect plastic lining. I have never seen one so far. There was one on eBay a couple of years ago saying that it was in brand new perfect condition, never used, so I emailed the seller and still there was one crack...

Use Plastic/Vinyl cleaner. It works wonders. If you don't like shiny boot, you can use Windex after the plastic cleaner. Windex will take out all greasy stuff. Also make sure to store it on flat surface in a bag. I usually keep mine under the bed. Yeah, the bag gets dusty, but I figured out it's a safe place to keep such a delicate item for my baby.

I quess I was really lucky I drove by a small dinner here in Pensacola Fl and I noticed a white 240 sx convertible it was in bad shape I thought at first that it was a junker untill I stopped to inquire about for parts i't was then I found out that one of the waitress was driveing it as a daily driver. so I thouht since the rear window was gone and the top was dammaged beyond repair I thought what heck I'll see it she even has the boot as it turned out she did and when I saw it I gave 100.00 dollers now as for the plactic trim it's perfect no cracks the boot other than a very light scuff is perfect as well so the are a few of them out there if you wanted to pay the price you can still get it through Nissan but it's about 600.00 dollers
