The rear seat on my 240 is uttlerly nasty looking and ive had success with other cars just washing interior parts in the tub. Here's the progress so far (cover your eyes if you're squeamish)
I rinsed it off, and pushed the dirt out of it. 6 total times. now the water is clearish. it'll take 3-8 days to dry, then i'll work on the rear backrest thingy. i need a bigger tub. Anybody wanna let me borrow their pool?
hope the previous owner at least had the decency to wipe his ***..doesn't look like it though. Make sure you spread some newspaper on the drivers seat. Hhehehe
the rear is outside drying now and should be fine. the driver seat has metal showing and the front seats are a ***** to uncover-recover. my buddy has some racing seats. im gonna see what he wants for the set. hopefully they'll fit
I was wondering why the last owner replaced the door handle with a toilet paper roll thing. it all makes sense now. That clears up the mystery of the big hole in the driver seat that you can look in and see the road
that was a joke. teh 240 is in very very good mechanical condition. i'll be replacing the ENTIRE drivetrain, engine, shox, springs, front brakes/rotors and rear pads. chassis could use a little stiffening too
