what do u guys suggest cleaning the maf with.i heard that carb cleaner can eat at the plastic.should i use an electrical contact cleaner?

Anything that doesn't leave a deposited film on the surface of the wire.

This includes dielectric substances, or anything else that will affect the thermal conductivity of the MAF.

They make electronic parts cleaner in a can that ya can buy at any of your local auto parts stores,read on the back of the can though to make sure it doesnt leave any deposites just like nismo freak said.

isopropyl alcohol... good for cleaning any electronics
