Cleaning leather seats

I've recently discovered a large (grease?) stain on the back of front passenger seat (black leather). The dealer gave me a hard time when I asked it to be cleaned so I want to try cleaning it myself instead of bothering with the dealer. What is the best way, from your experience, to clean black leather seats? Thanks!
