Does anyone know of products that clean leather well? Or anything you have found good for removing dead bugs and tar. I have tried numerous things and the best I have found so far is the armorall leather wipes but they still are not that great. I have also used the bug and tar remover that is a foam (forget the name) but it just does not work too well.

clean leather as in condition or just wipe off? for conditioning there's a bunch of products but the best thing to keep it nice and soft is...whole milk. the fat in the milk penetrates the leather and keeps it soft.

More so wipe off, and help bring out the color. It looks dirty and faded.

Nissan sells a leather cleaner at dealers.

I have some higher-end leather cleaner that I got as a promo at SEMA a few years ago. They said it was the cleaner MB or BMW or some other fancy-pants euro brand recommends for cleaning the leather in their cars. It's in my parents' garage right now but I'll find out what it is and let you know. This stuff foams which is supposed to make it safer for perforated leather (which is why it's at my parents' place, their 6th gen has perforated leather).

Nissan makes a bug and tar remover that works really well. I got a can years ago when I purchased a new car from them. As far as leather cleaner I would use any Mequires products they seem to be good products. I spoke to a leather supplier and asked him about leather cleaning. He said the oils from your skin get in the leather and must be cleaned regularly. I usually do it once a month.

I highly recommend 3M leather cleaner/conditioner. Spray it on a cloth towel, wipe it on the seats, and that's it. Keeps them clean and protected without making them too shiny as some other products will do.

Bugs/tar/tree sap - use a wet dryer sheet (yup, the stuff you throw in the dryer with your clothes). It works great, just rub in hard. Make sure you wash the car afterwards. I know it sounds absurd, but it really does work well!
