Depends, try some carpet cleaner, Hot Shot™ brand. If that doesn't work, use a tooth brush and scrub with Gojo or Fast Orange hand cleaner, but the pumice in those will shorten the life of the jeans.

Goop or Fast Orange...both found at Walmart. Goop works best though.

I used something called greased lightning... not the stuff in the white bottle, but something that came from an auto parts store in a purple bottle that is supposed to be a degreaser. Worked great after about three tries.

Goop works very well, the key is to soak the area, apply the cleaner and let it "marinate" in the material. Do this a few times then toss them in the washer. Do not dry them if the stain is still there.

I used to use warm water, borax, and a can of Coke for my work coveralls and it seemed to work good (hydro fluid, oil, jet fuel, and other random aircraft fluids & gunk).

Then again, I didn't care much about how long they lasted because they were issued free...

I just tried wheel cleaner, mothers to be exact. When scrubbed with a toothbrush a motor oil stain came right out.

I wear my grease like a man personally.

it doesn't tell women I'm a slob, it says "hey, this guy fixes stuff...maybe he's a plumber too "
