my headlights are yellowy, i have searched and found to use nail poilsh remover to clean them, but how exactly do i get the lens off to clean the reverse side? i popped off the 4 metal clips but there is rubber sealant all the way around my light? if i pull this out will the bulb leak? or am i going about it in the wrong way? thanks.

lol.... I know that the acetone works well to clean headlights, but I was looking up TSB's on the s14's, it says DO NOT PUT ACETONE ON HEADLIGHTS!!!! Apparently they're supposed to crack if you get it on them.

Here is a guide to de-yellowing your headlights. Thank stickgoat for it.

I used Mothers plastic polish on the outside of my lens and they look a lot better. I didn't even remove the headlights, I just put newspaper around them and went at it. There is still some pitting in my lens but they look a LOT better. I let my friend use it on his DSM after and his lights were way worse.(think Yellow) After that I really saw what this stuff can do for lights. His lights look dramatically better now. Not brand new looking, but significantly better than it was.

u should have to clean the inside but if u really want to use a heat gun or hair dryer to melt that rubbery suff then jsut push them back on. my friend did it on his civic to "clear them out". it worked
