The safe way to remove them is to remove the rail from the car. It's four bolts and a fuel hose or two extra labor.
Removing the injectors is also much easier. For 90-93 phase one injectors I have heard that using a deep well socket (maybe 10mm?) on the bottom side with another spacer on the top side in a vice is the easiest way to get them out. Be sure to lubricate your new injector's o-rings and rail seating areas with a smear of motor oil when installing the new ones.
I would just clean the rails with brake parts cleaner after you get it out of the car.
I noticed you have a couple of replies to your posts in the WTB threads. If those don't work out for you I have my old ones sitting in the garage. I think only one or two actually ohmed high. No guarantees that they will last for any length of time, but let me know if you need them, and how much you want to pay...
