actually now that i think about it i don't think i used saran wrap on the q. it's normal application i covering electronics that could possibly be flooded with water. only thing that qualified was the fuse box (other than the valley which you can't do much about) and i don't think i even did that. really its just a precaution.kdkrone wrote:Wow!! Dinner time!! That is incredible.
So what do you protect with the saran wrap?
I do, too. Or, rather, used to. About a year ago, signs started popping up in carwashes here warning that disposing of chemicals in the sewer is illegal and washing underhood in carwashes is prohibited. Nevermind the fact that automatic washes would be spraying the same chemicals from the bottom of the car.BadQ45t wrote:I try to clean off the top every car wash. Of course the car wash doesn't do it but I take a towel and wife down all the pastic stuff, the batter (it is the car washes towel so I don't care about the battery stuff).
I never had an airbox on my car, as it came with a K&N pod when i bought it. Now I have a Blitz (in pics) installed.qship96 wrote:nothing like sucking in that 170-180 degree underhood hot air- does wonders for robbing performance!
There is another one from the underside of the filter, going down to the nearest bolt hole, so there are actually 2 brackest holding the filter in place.jonseyq45 wrote:And now for something completely different..............
I like your air filter mounting, I have had the aluminum in my hand staring at the engine bay for far too lonng and now within 30 seconds of looking at your picture all my troubles have been washed away. Cool bracket.....Nice Job
