I don't think u can even put armorall on the dash

It's a weird rough material..I just dust it with a damp rag

NEVER use armor all...it degrades interior plastics & vinyls over time (unless of course you're only keeping the car for a couple of years...then go nuts). Regardless of this, because the dash is textured and grippy, your best bet is to use a damp rag when it gets really dirty.

Personally, I just keep a California Dash-Duster in my glovebox. You can also use a Swiffer Duster too...

i got the xyilion protection when i got the car and it came with an Armor All type dash protectant that makes it look very nice and shiny.

also has mink oil for the leather seats which gives them a nice shine too

Wow, that is cool... my dealer took my car around the back when I picked it up and put fresh air in the tires and topped off my headlight oil level for only $650. That was a steal!

"see-throughable"...that's a technical term, yes? LOL

And to nathans12:...I mentioned in my post a little above yours that Armor All does indeed degrade the plastics. It takes a number of years, but it does wreck it over time.

I use a product called Plexus Plastic Cleaner. It works great on all the plastic surfaces I have used it on, and also makes the surface less likely to attract dust. It doesn't leave any film behind, and doesn't increase shine, but is an awesome cleaner.

LOL they wanted $750 inside and out for the xylon, I made the deal on the lease then made them throw it in for free It's pretty good stuff if you research it (Many American Airlines use it) but I wouldn't pay more then $100 if I had too!

dont remember how much it cost but it does cover any damage to the paint or interior fabrics with full replacement if necessary.

But your missing the point. The crap they put on your paint will at most last 5-6 months if that and then your paint will be bare. Then you'll need to go the old route of waxing or if you care more about your paint clay baring to a dual action cleaner / polish and then a paint sealant and then 12 hours later a good wax if you are an enthusiast and want your paint to look liquid. The wax will only last 1-2 months and the paint sealant will 6-8 months and the do it all again.

Armor-all will deteriorate your dash...URBAN MYTH. But it is not the best for our goofy plasto-rubberc dash material

Look at all the independent tests, there is no correlation. Its about as plausible as the Saccharine/Cancer correlation.

Here's what damages your dash, UV light, or a roadtrip with me after a taco bell bender, period.

Now, be careful with tire dressings, they can damage clear coats (overspray) and also if used to often reduce the longevity of tires if used excessively. But for most people thi will not be an issue either (but overspray and clearcoat damage is, even Nissan had a warning out about that)

There are 3 types of lies: Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics

mmhm, and smells REALLY good, i cleaned my car the first day i got it with this stuff (not sure why lol, but i did it) so this stuff smells like new car in my world. I give my entire interior a good once over with it at least once every 2-3 weeks.

IMO armor-all looks tacky in a new car Shouldnt need to SHINE, it should just be straight up clean.
