Cleaning connectors on wiring harness

I was just wondering on how I would go about cleaning the connectors on my wiring harness. There is gunk in them that is a pain to get out. Thanks.

There are electronics cleaners you can get at the autoparts store. Go at the connectors with that, and a small flat head screw driver
