the side skirts we have available to the a/c are all too ricey imo,
I've heard a lot of opinions on here over the years, but i def don't think i've ever heard anyone refer to either the fox-marketing or Stillen sideskirts as being "ricey" ... interesting

definitely not as ricey as say... ohh, i don't know , an imitation g35 spoiler :bigthumb:

Me either :gotme

I've always had a pretty acute eye over the years and have built some pretty awesome vehicles. I don't see these at all falling into a class of ricey.

In all definition of the term, ricer is used to describe a car that has aftermarket parts on it that attempt to make it look aesthetically faster with a disregard to speed, performance, and matching parts. The opposite of a sleeper in terms.

Really a good description is, a car that has 2 wings that look as if they were removed from a fighter jet, in an attempt to make it look like it actually needs down force on the rear of the vehicle.

Another would be, to build a car that looks as if it fits into the Japanese Domestic Market and debadge it, when its an American production only :inout:

some people tend to be afraid to speak their minds on this forum. :gotme

and for the side skirts, i dont like the look of the little cut out they have going towards the end of the rockers that are almost like air vents.

the spoiler and the roof wing aren't there to make it look aesthetically faster, i decided to put them on because it made it aesthetically better, just imo.
and i actually prefer the JDM look to, lets say, some 20 inch konig watchamacallits. :ohno:

There are several people ok with speaking their minds, but most of them know that there's a difference between honesty and arrogance :chuckle:

It's kinda like walking up to a hot girl at a bar to talk to her and then realizing that she's super stuck on herself, thereby deducting from the hotness factor and resulting in your walking away disappointed. heh.

Car's not too shabby though.

i like your car oilsink, looks a lot better than many of the other coupes on here at least you're going for a distinct look and not just random mods that don't go together.

on the other hand i do have to agree about the G spoiler, especially with your roof spoiler, a nice trunk lid spoiler would look cleaner.

Of course a roof wing and spoiler are there to make the car look like its faster and needs it, that's why you put a spoiler back there and not something random like coffee table or a tire. Think about what all modifications do. You see a car with a roll cage and what do you think? You see a car with a wheelie bar or a parachute, what do you think? You see a lowered car with a spoiler and rims? What do you think? Its part of a total package to make your car pronounce to other viewers that its fast.

I also see that your illiterate. 19 inch Konigs would be what are published in my signature. Food for thought, The GTR comes with 20's.... :slap:

So according to that logic, everyone that puts a spoiler on their vehicle is because its meant to look faster? sorry i dont follow that logic. i put the wing on because i like the look of it. for someone to tell me why i put something on my car is hilarious. and you shouldnt get defensive about the wheel comment, i was just making a generalization.

Why do people darken their tails? Red looks so clean.

I don't like spoilers.

I want to join clean DS AC

I love the looks of both tinted and stock tails but my personal choice (at least for now) is to leave my tails stock. I think it's a beautiful set of tails on our cars! I mean if we had something like the Honda Accord's lights I could definitely see exactly why you'd want to cover them up too hahah

Yuck:

I like how this thread ends up w/all Dark Slate owners posting their pics :) Sadly I don't have many mods to post mine *sigh*. I love the stock red look that contrasts the slate color.

lol ya my driveway is crazy steep. I've actually slipped and fell because its so steep... its actually illegally steep (doesnt comply with city code). my dad is trying to take the builder to court.....

my exhaust tips I got from my brother. he got like GHL or something like that exhaust on his corvette and was going to get rid of it and gave me the tips from his aftermarket exhaust.... I saw the same ones at a local muffler shop though
