Well like it says, I played around with the 280 today. Been neglecting it a lot and need to show it some attention. I've got lots of new parts waiting to go on it and just picked up a ton of stuff from a pair of parts cars this week.

Anyway, cleaned up the engine bay and threw on the polished valve cover I've had in the basement....

Was excited to see how clean and cherry everything was when I pulled the old valve cover

Cleaned up the inside, it really needed it after having been in the body shop, tons of dust

Then worked on the exterior a little

As with any of them, its a project. Slowly but surely it'll get there

love the valve cover

so you have a webbed, EGR'd intake and an externally lubed cam (N42 head), so it's a 76?

Nah, I've got the bumpers and all the trim and what not freshly rechromed in my basement. Just need to put it on.

the rear bumper shock on the 280Z are a royal pain to remove (prepare to remove the gas tang anfd get rust and dirt in your eyes), the fronts changed a bit from 76-77 but they are a snap to remove so long as the bolts aren't rusted in place
