Just wanted to get some opinions on my engine bay. It's not immaculate, nor is it all JDM tyte (lmao) , but I think it's pretty decent looking for a stocker.

Here's the pics:

Sorry about the big files, but they didn't look good at all at lower resolutions.

Thanks for your input,

James

Heh - yeah, those are Nology Hotwires - LOTS of insulation on those suckers.

Well, other than painting my valve cover and strut tower bar mounts in metal-flake black, I went over pretty much the entire engine bay with simple green and a scrubber sponge. Took HOURS, and as you can see, it's still not perfect. But, it's good enough for now.

Oh, in case you're wondering, the AIV that's in there is gutted and filled with hardened resin, so it's effectively useless. Helped level out my idle, made the engine run smoother, and I still managed to pass emissions here in Cali, since the unit is still there, at least, visually.

Click my sig picture to visit my webpage - there's a list of all the current mods and fixes on it.

Thanks,

James

Thanks for the kind words =) Now I just need to get the outside looking as good as under the hood... new paint and bodywork are in order. Joy.

Speaking of which, anyone know of any cheap, but good paint shops down here in SoCal? I plan to do all the prep work myself, just need someone to spray some color on my baby.

Thanks,

James

simple green + aluminum = lots or corroded parts. i would reccomend something other than simple green on any aluminum parts. it was banned by the goverenment for use in the millitary. reason why, it quickly causes aluminum to corrode. other than that, looking sweet!
