Well, it only took me 16 hours of ownership to screw it up:help Bought my '95 240SX knowing it needed some seal replaced, and after a good cleaning and waxing, I attacked the dirty engine to see how bad the leaks really were. I used a biodegradeable cleaner and a garden hose tha I thought was pinpointed away from everything important. Long story short, it cranks, and I have power to the distributor, but it will not start.I took the cap off, and cleaned the deposits on it, there was no water inside. It also has a D*** "Code-Alarm" installed, but I disconnected it and there was no cranking at all. Any help is greatly appreciated..my wife is ready to kill me for buying "another piece of junk:pface "Thanks,Bill

you probably got something wet that you didnt notice. if its not freezing by you, id say just let it dry out. try it tomarrow.

thats sill warm enough for the water to evaporate. just as long as it doesnt freeze, your good for it to dry out. try it in the morning.

if it doesnt start tomarrow, start checking fuses and fuseable links.

Well it's amazing what a sleepless night and some patience will do. Went out this morning and she started right up with seemingly no ill effects from the "bath". Thanks for the help folks. Sometimes doing nothing is the best thing you can do.Bill

yeah, i know what you mean. especially in that case the best thing to do is just let it sit. im a mechanic, and i can tell you the countless times ive seen people cause bigger problems by trying to fix something minor. trust me, i know it was hard to just leave it alone but in that case its the best thing to do.

glad it works now.

shyt i wish i could do that to my car. leave it alone and it will work. it was working one day perfectly i changed the thermostat and now it has no spark. the oddest thing. prolly a coincidence.

it stopped sparking directly after you changed the thermo?

if so, what else did you mess with when you did the thermo?

i didnt mess with anything else. I had disconnected the distributor wire and forgot to re conenct triend to fire it up and it didnt so i was lik dam that wire connected it and it hasnt sparked since then. A friend of mine was messing around with the radio wire harness he was organizing it because i got the car for real cheap not running (bad head) swapped it and got it running so ihe prolly got some wires touchign each other or so im not to sure. but ill figure it ou
