cleaned engine, now....
i cleaned the motor today with some degreaser. got done at around 12, started the car for awhile to get rid of all the water etc. ran fine. started the car about 3 hours later and the idle was at about 3-4000. turned the car of tried it again. this time i just got a clicking noise. thought it was my alternater some how ruined from the water. tried it one last time 20 min later and it started and idled good. what do you think happened?

still havent fixed the problem. got new spark plugs thinking it was that. still revs at 3-4000 rpms while its in park. in D its higher and wants to go. does anyone have a diagram of all the vacuum lines so i check each one.
