Never done it before - want to try. Anybody have any suggestions? What are the steps? I have the 3.3 VG engine. I have done the throttle body and lots of other repairs so I'm not an idiot-risk, hopefully.

You can buy a spray cleaner to clean it off. Don't touch it, just spray the wire.

There's a write up in the Q45 section or maybe at Q45.org that would apply. Basically you take it off, handle it carefully, spray and entire can of electrical parts cleaner through it focusing on that little wire, don't touch it, let it dry for about an hour and reinstall. It's also a good idea to clean the the plug and where it goes in. Use a little dielectrical grease when reinstalling.
