Go to your local autoparts store and purchase the K&N recharger kit. Same as what Injen has. Don't use soap and water! The K&N kit comes with cleaner and oil.

What color is your filter media? If it is red, then it is the type that needs oiling. If it is blue, then it is the dry type.

I know you can order them with (dry) Amsoil blue filters. At least they're blue on Amsoil's web site.

Buy the injen air filter cleaner on ebay.
Comes with the cleaner and oil..
your not supost to use ur filter without oil,
and if you over oil it messes with your sensor

It's not good that for sure. The material in a dry filter won't absorb the oil and it can get into you intake tube and coat you MAS. If enough oil gets on the sensor, you have everything from misfires to a stalling engine and in time, the MAS will have to be replaced. (not a warrentee item)
My AEM intake has the dry filter and it just need the AEM "soap" bath, a cold-water rinse and air dry ... done.
The color of the filter does not determine if it's an oil or dry system. There are red and blue oiled filters - it's all determined by the kind of oil that each system uses. My dry system is more grey then anything.

About a week ago I was going to get another dry filter for my intake, and I stumbled across the blue Injen/Amsoil filter. Did a little research on it, but in the end I decided to stick with another AEM Dryflow.

I would recommend anyone who is confused about cleaning their blue injen/amsoil air filter (It will say Injen/Amsoil on the top of the filter) to read their instruction manual before they mistakenly oil their dry filter. Again, the red injen filter requires oiling after cleaning. So in this case of these Injen filters, color does matter whether or not it requires oiling.
