Clarion 6-CD Changer Err2 Code

Getting an "Err2" Code on the display when trying to eject a CD --- also wont take in any new CD's in any unoccupied and available locations within the changer. Car is 100% factory stock, pristine I/O with 18K original miles and want to keep it that way. Does anyone know who can work on this Model CD changer or know what might be the problem with a stuck CD and "Err2" Code ? Already tried a reset by removing the Neg. Battery Terminal and let sit for 2 days --- no change in symptoms. Any help would be appreciated to fix this issue.

• The error code you're getting has to do with the laser lens not being able to read the discs. This is either because the lens is contaminated (dirty), or faulty (needing replacement or is misaligned). The first thing to do is to purchase a CD/DVD laser lens cleaner disc, and run it through the system several times.
• These players are famous for messing up. If your good, you can pull it out. Take it apart, pull the cd's out. Put it back together. Don't ever put a disc in 1 or 6, and your set.

There aren't too many places that repair these things as it's generally cheaper to replace the unit. If you can't get it working and just have to have the stock look, you could try getting a replacement off eBay or from a salvage yard (although the vehicle is 23 years old, so that's easier said than done).

Thank you for the informative reply and suggestions - however, the CD player is unable take in any CD's ( or a cleaning disk) in any of the other locations 2 through 5 --- Years ago I bought another CV-919 CD unit as "NOS" but never installed it - only kept it up as a "back up" unit for a "just in case" situation. But now I think I'll just hold into it to install as to keep the car 100% original if I ever consider selling it and buy a modern single CD player, BlueTooth, Pandona capable single DIN replacement for a "temporary" system.
