Good evening, everyone.

So, thought I would throw out a little update on the recently refreshed lady.

Last week, my wife and I had a couple days to ourselves, so we arranged to take Clare for a little trip "home" to see the man who took care of her for the last year and a half to get a little check-up and some not-so-important issues addressed. So, off we went to Missouri.

Got everything taken care of and I also snapped a few pics of here in the doctor's office.

Enjoy!!

Man, I'm so over newer cars.

I need to go get an old classic American cruiser.

a late 60's Impala would be nice. If I can somehow get it to squeeze out 15 miles to the gallon I'd be happy

Gotta let me know when you near Albuquerque NM, We'll get them started on the difference between Red and Green - - - or both (we call that "Christmas"). Just fess up how much you like to sweat while you eat, I'll be onboard for good times and any help as possible.

Right now, I'll be the Civic guy who gets 38-39 mpg in town - it's a fun little car. I have decent tools and the house has a nice gararge and air tools for any needed work, I'll help almost everyone.

Best wishes and good luck in your travels.

We still do not know about our vacation plans yet. The railroad will not post the vacation schedule until after the first of February so I am not sure of the dates of when I will be on the road again. As soon as I know I will phone those that the family will be seeing. George, Neal passed along the info and I will contact you this week.

Again I wish to pass on I thanks and best wishes to all who have followed the rebirth of “Clare” and made their comments as it helped pass the time for me. After spending some time driving the car, there are some things that I wish I could have changed, but it was not possible. In a car this old and of this body style they just do not have, remanufacture or can find some parts that will, and do, wear out. So in the future girls and boys, if you know what you want and you already have it, or can get it, please do so before the government or time can stop you from rebuilding what you want while the parts are still around.

Now to give a small insight to Clare’s attitude, so far she seems to be the grand ol’ lady that we talked about all through the thread. She has poise, grace, and some manners much that of her age. But treat her wrong and oh my, look out, does she act up. So if you come upon her and treat her as the lady she is, all is well, but ruffle her petticoats and piss her off, well she may not beat you, but you will know she is upset, and two OLD entities (Clare and the G.O.B.) mad are not a good idea at the same time!

So on that note Happy Thanksgiving to all and may your holiday be with ones you love here on earth and in your loving hearts, May God Bless.
