Clapping Sound Please Help!

Hey, I hve began to notice a "clapping" sound coming from the rear drivers side of my 90 S13 when I make fast right turns or while exiting off on an off-ramp. It's not a sharp sound. It actually sounds like I am running over a manhole cover when I'm not. I checked the to see if the tire jack was loose but it's not. I have had the car for about three years now. As far as I know, the suspension is still stock. I checked that and it does not seem to be bad. Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Mitch

wheel bearings, joints of the axles if you've got cracked boots for the joints, sway bar not connected and hitting something...those are the first few things I'd check out.
