Clanking noise with New 08 Z350

Hi everyone,

I have only 370 miles on my new Z; I've noticed that sometimes when im in first gear or even second gear and pushing the clutch down to put the car in neutral and make a complete stop the trany/clutch makes a clanking noise. It is not too loud but it is noticable, as if it does not like getting disengaged. Anyone has experienced this before?

yah it's normal.. some say it's the flywheel. some say the throw out bearing... or gremlins

it could be your throw out bearing, or even the clutch breaking in. Did you beat on it while you been driving it? You should break it in before racing it.

I think it has to do with the dual mass clutch... there is a thread talking about this for sure on this forum... I think that its really nothing to worry about; however, there is a problem with the clutch going to the floor, but thats just what I have read on this forum.

I have sometimes have heard the same noise come from mine but mine is an 03 so idk if its regular on that year. My friend has an 06 and i heard the same noise on his but LOUDER
