Lately I have noticed a noise simular to a clang. Like something is loose around my front driver side strut. It has been doing it for sometime who knows probley years. 9 months ago I had the tokiko blues installed .

This mainley happens at low speed with the window down I can hear it clear as day. Ususally happens when I drive over rough ground or small bumps.

Anyone have this issue??

Did you replace the rubber when you did the shocks? What else?

For years? Even 9 months would be intolerable for most.

Ya I replaced the the rubber boot covers yes. and the shocks.

The noise is only apprant when I am at low speeds with the window open and cruising over like rough ground or maybe a pot hole or bumps in the roads.

Something sounds loose. Its a springy type sound. It was making the same sound before I put the tokiko blues on too.

Any thoughs?

How about upper links and tension rod bushing?

I just saw the tension rods today when they had my car on the rack.

The tension rod bushings were shot out.

Can i just replace the tension rod bushing themselves and not the whole rod too??

I know the bushings are only like $5 or $6 bucks each. Is this easy to install it looks like a few bolts??

You can order and replace the bushings individually - but you'll need access to a hydraulic press with the appropriate press head. I used a very large socket...

I think the bushings are something like $30 vs. about $105 for the whole rod assembly.
