It was a Ford 302. All cast iron. That is way to heavy. Im not a drag racer so I ripped it out right away and sold it. Sorry I dont have any pictures. It sucks too cause my transmission tunnel is dented to hell because they had to pound it with a hammer to fit the 302. Also I had to get new motor mounts but thats no big deal.

I have an Automatic ECU and a Manual one. Im unsure which is which. I wana use the manual one because I want the rev limiter. Can anyone help me figure out which is which? Thanks.

Tons more progress but Im not takeing many pictures, I am just trying to get s*** done. I jacked both my 240's up on jack stands. I removed the rotors and had them resurfaced. Im gona get cross drilled slotted rotors, but for now im trying to get her done! Also im trying to save money sence I have no job. I also knocked out all 16 studs and replaced them with new ones. They were all messed up. I put new pads and had to steal 2 calipur brackets off my other car. I pulled the diff out of both cars. The one is open and my buddy is welding it for me. The other is welded and is going in the other car. When I pulled it it was rusty as hell so I wire wheeled it and painted it. I installed the pedals as well. This chassis was auto so I had to drill the holes in the fire wall for the clutch. For the studs I used the biggest drill bit I had. For the mastery cylinder I needed a 1-1/2" hole. I went to Ace and got a wood bit that makes that size. It did the job and only lost 2 teeth.

PS- My goal is to get everything done but the wireing this week. I am emailing with nistune about there product because I need it ASAP, but I need to know which ECU number to give them.

PPS- Has anyone on here used Nistune. From what I have read it looks like a good EMS to use. Any personal opinions?

K, I still dont know which ECU is which but I did talk with ILL garage and figured out my EMS and tune setup. My car will be trailered there when its ready.

So I have been busy. I knocked out all 16 studs cause they all sucked! The car was rust free, but not the studs and brakes

I wire wheeled the rust off and then installed new studs.

I had my rotors resurfaced. I plan on doing a 5 lug conversion and going with cross drilled slotted rotors. Sence Im laid off I am trying to save money. This is just for now.

Here are the calipur guide pins. The fronts were frozen solid. I busted them free and replaced them with new ones. The rears werent so bad so I just removed them. Sanded it smooth and replaced them with new lithium grease.

I pulled the diff out of my old drift car. It was so rusty I didnt want to put it in my rust free car. I wire wheeled it and then painted it so it doesnt rust more.

Then I installed the Diff and the driveshaft. Question, How do you know when your carier baring in the drive shaft is bad?

Here is my extra open diff I removed from the coupe. I will weld it and use it as a spare.

Got a Z32-TT fuel Filter. LOL its so much bigger.

Here it is installed with its new lines. I do plan on changing everything to stainless steel when I get a job.

Because of the savere abuse my car will recieve I wana run coolant lines to the turbo. I know alot of people dont, but I want to. I took these parts and ran my coolant lines.

The feed and return are run behind the engine.

Here is the feed.

The return. That line looks a little kinked. I am gona make a new one a little longer.

I ran my oil lines but didnt take a pic. My return you have already seen. My feed goes from the oil pressure sending unit to the turbo. They are both SS lines. There is no restricter in the feed line. There should be right? Im thinking of makeing one.

Last night I started moching up my intercooler, but I'm confused. The brackets are at 30 degree angles. I dont uderstand why. I think Im dona have to bend them up.

I am very close. I am busting my a** so I can have the car done by the next drift event. I am so excited. I see the light at the end of the tunnel!

So I got the FMIC installed the other day. Me and my dad did it together. Twas fun. We only used 2 brackets, but its so sturdy that I swear I could hang on it so I didnt see a need for a 3rd. I also installed the JDM S13 front end, the steering shaft and wheel, Coilovers, dashboard, Raceing seats, and power steering. I didnt take any pics of the inside. These pics were taken b4 the inside was done. Tomarrow I need to install the alternator and the intercooler pipeing and everything but electrical is done

O, I also need to get my locks retumbled so I can use my old keys. Thats why one tail light isnt in, so I can open the trunk. As far as the car height goes... The hatch was slammed. It was lowered ALOT more! But the rear fenders on the coupe arent rolled yet so this is as low as I will go, for now. Once I roll the rear fenders it will be dropped more.

Here is my vacume manifold. This is the only port off my intake manifold. This should help simplify trouble shooting with problems later.

Here is the intercooler pipeing all mocked up. I hate pipeing. I had to hack up 3 kits to make 1 that fits.

Here is just a neat shot of the car.

I hate this turbo. I spent 3 days trying to find the fitting that goes in here. I dragged my turbo all over town looking for the fitting. I was so mad i almost went insane and either ripped my turbo apart and retaped it, or put a smaller fitting in there with JB weld. I didn't want to do either, but i was running out of choices. Finally I called Ill garage and they told me the GT28 turbo feed is a 3/16 npt fitting. I ran all over town again and couldnt find one. I just ordered one from ill garage. Should be here saturday.

Here is my PCV plate. This I will run to a catch can.

The moch-up of the gauge cluster and switch panel. I am gona make a new gauge cluster because i am gona have all my gauges in my face. The switch panel will be for my window switchs, blinker, battery kill switch, push button start.

The metal I'm gona use.

When my friend and I painted my car we forgot to paint my gas door. Also I got my GT-R grill after I painted it. I went to the paint shop and had spray bombs made. The black and the clear. I was gona use spray paint, but this will look better.

I had to sand the spray paint off the sunroof.

Because a cage will hit, plus I want more head room I need to remove my sunroof. Well its a tricky thing. If I would have thought of it before I painted I could have welded it closed. A little late for that now. Plus I do like the glass. Then I tried to see if the hatch sunroof will fit in the coupe. I was getting ready to pull my hatch when I measured and the hatch sunroof is quite a bit bigger. So that wont work. So me and my dad came up with a new idea. We held it up in its spot. Used wood claps to keep it in place. Then we cut lexon and bolted them to the sunroof opening. This will be a ledge for the sunroof to rest on.

Now I need to make brackets to pull it down against the lexon to clap in into place. After that I will calk around it and put a factory seal around it. Hopefully it wont leak.

Some of my gauges

Does anyone know where I can get more plugs? My passenger side has the plug

But my driver side doesn't

Help me find the plugs please

Im pretty much out of money. Progress has slowed down. I will finish the dash and the wireing, but I am still short $250 in gauges. $? for a catback exhaust. $650 minimum for EMS and Tune for ill garage. $100 for allignment. $? for tie rods (mine are f***ed). Plus money for other odds and ends. Long story short. Im gona get it almost done, then put it in a storage unit till I get a job so I can make money to finish it.

Happy days

So I bought a 97 honda way back in the begining of this year for $200. I just spent $200 to fix it and I sold it today for $1800. Now I have money to finish my car. I am doing some research on different exhausts and I am unsure what to pick. I was planning on buying an ISIS exhaust.

http://www.clubfr.net/forums/i...=isis

Or an HKS

http://shop.tougefactory.com/h....aspx

I want this car to sound badass and different from a honda, so im leaning towards the ISIS. Plus its cheaper. Im unsure now, But I will keep you guys updated. Now im gona buy a circutsport coolant tank, ebay oil catch can, coolant SS lines to the turbo, and my Nistune EMS. Also looking into RUCA and other adjustable suspension parts. If there is money left over after my alignment and tune I want a 3" rad and an oil cooler. I will have to save up this winter to get a cage so I am tandom ready next year.

I went to ILL Garage today. What a good group of nice guys. Very knowledgeable. I paid of my exhaust (ISIS Blast pipes) and Nistune EMS. I left my ECU. I also finally got the right fitting for my turbo feed, and I bought a new oil line with a 90 degree elbow. It was a good day. I almost forgot spark plugs. Now I have what I need to finish the car. There are a few more parts im thinking of going back and getting. Now I just gotta put everything together. Should have more pics up sometime.

Nice build man From nothin to somethen, feels good dont it. I know i know smack that a**. Naw but seriously your story sounds like mine. When i frist started with five large for a rebuild and turbo and came up, short but im almost done. Mine fired up this thursday. sounded like a beast.

To me it looks like the stock fpr with the greddy fuel rail.

I finished the hot side of the pipeing. Its all tightened down. I started cleaning up the throttle body. Will finish another time. I ordered some more stuff from ILL Garage. I am going down on black friday to pick up my stuff. Today I did a little. I started the wireing. I had gauge 4 wires that I bought 2 years ago for battery relocation. I put the battery box in the trunk, but its not tightened down yet. I put ends on the cable. The ground is short because it doesnt have to go far. I didnt want cables running throughout the entire car so I ran it from the front to the back of the car through the frame. I think it looks better this way. I am gona put my fuse box under the dash on the passenger side. Sorry the pix are bad, but I took them with my phone.

Here is the engine bay

I start work at 7am. I normally dont get out untill 5 or later so I dont have any daylight. My apartment garage doesnt have any electricity either. So i went out and bought a 200ft 14 gauge extension cord. Now i can work at night.

Thanks for the support. It really means alot to me. I bought the vacume manifold off ebay. If you think about it, its only a hallow block that holds air, it just needs to be sealed right so it doesnt matter where its from. I went around town and got the fittings I needed.

Im really excited because this is so close to being done. I am doing more wireing this week. I dont think there will be more updates until this weekend because this friday I am going to ILL Garage to pick up the rest of my parts. Its X-mas in Nov.

I want this car done before the end of dec. Only problem I have now is my 370cc injectors are too small. My tuner recomends 600-700cc injectors. So I need to start shopping.

What do they charge there to tune? Last time i went to that shop it was hole in the wall that barely fit one car. Are they dyno tuning actually? They have experience on ka-ts?
