TF guys are cool too. I have delt with them some and know they are nice guys also. I have been doing business with iLL Garage for almost three years now. They have never lied to me or steered me wrong. They answer my questions and really know what they are talking about. I think they provide an excellent service. So I would have to agree that I am loyal to them.

I have a couple more little things to do, but I plan to be drifting at the next drift event. July 7th!

I went on a 3 hour road trip to get an alignment. The car ran great on the way there. It ran like crap on the way home. It was running lean the entire way home and every bump I hit the car wanted to die. I assume I have a loose wire somewhere. Anyone else have any other ideas?

When I got to Appleton and we got the car on the lift, we noticed something. I somehow managed to snap off my RUCA bolt. My wheel stayed on probabaly because my car is so low the tire is tucked in the wheel well. I need to pull my fenders more. I have 4 degrees camber in the rear.

Not the best pictures, but you get the idea. I ordered a new set of XXR 530's for spares. I ordered Kenda tires, but they were on back order because of cali's "all star bash". Then Falkens would take too long to get here. I just ordered some Hankook Ventus V12. Never drifted on them before, I will find out if they are any good. I can't wait! One week away!!!! It's been almost three years since I drifted last!

Got some spares for drifting.
Image

Got some gas the night before
Image

I didn't sleep at all the night before. I stayed up all night doing last min s***. I installed my hydro ebrake.

Here's me going up. Car is packed full!
Image

I got there and got ready. Drove for 3 min warming up on the skid pad. Everything went felt great. Car was amazing! I have a short video coming. I went to the track and the car died while I was waiting in line. I got it to start back up and went back to the pits. Car blew its rings off. I left at noon and tried to drive home slowly. Blew a piston through my oil pan 15 min away from the track :(

Left her on the side of the road
Image

She came home, with all her blood and guts dripping out from underneath.
Image

I don't know why it happened. I had perfect compression, low boost, everything was perfect. I don't get it. I am looking for a good running KA and I am going to swap it in and try and drift again for the October event. This winter I am going to build my motor. Forged internals.

Razi, oil pressure was good until my piston took a road trip. I hope my next motor doesn't have a repeat.

Danshaz82 - The next shawano event is August 4th. I won't be there because I will be in Korea. The one after that is October 14th. I hope to make that one.

After my car blew up I went on vacation to Korea with the misses.
Image

We have been dating for 7.5 years. So I finally popped the question. I rented out an art gallery months ago. So our second day in Korea I took her to the gallery. They had a section blocked off for us. They lite 1000 candles, inflated balloons, and made a video for me out of the pictures I sent them ahead of time. It cost money, but it was worth it.
Image

Took my spare motor to a machine shop.
Image
Image

They have had it for three weeks now. I'm still waiting on my quote. I'm having the block built, and maybe the head depending on cost. They promise I will have it back by the end of September. The next drift event is October 14th. I will be there.

Today I preformed open heart surgery. I wanted to see the damage.

So there is a 2.5" dia hole in the pan. A couple small holes under the intake manifold and a giant hole under the turbo. Think of the weight reduction. That and my motor is now air cooled!

I want to go lower, but my coilovers are maxed at their lowness. I was wondering what kind of clearance I had from my cross member. With the engine out, I have 3". Plenty of room to go lower.
Image

Just hoping to get my built engine back in time for drifting! Once this year!!!!!

Just a sneak peek. I am signed up to drift this weekend at USAIR. I didn't have a motor when I signed up, but I do now.
Image

Full specs will come another time but long story short is its a fully built block with a rebuilt head.
JE Pistons
Eagle Rods
ARP everything
Cosworth HG

I am installing it Friday night. Breaking in the motor with a road trip to Chicago Saturday. Then back to the track to drift Sunday. I can't wait and I hope it doesn't blow this time... More pictures to come in the future.

I said back in July that a buddy of mine was able to record some of me drifting on his phone, well here it is. I was warming up on the skid pad before I went to the track because I haven't drifted in years. Well the car felt great so after this video i went and got in line to go around the track and the car died. That's when it all went wrong.

So I had a very busy weekend. Friday I got out of work at 3 and was in my garage by 4. I stayed in there till 5am. got the motor dropped in and front end on. Car was ready to drive.

Started with this.
Image

Built motor.
Image

Dad, friends and I dropping in the motor.
Image

Motor is in and now we are connecting all the stuff.
Image

Car is working and front end is on. We are ready to roll!
Image

Inside
Image

Saturday I slept for two hours and then went back into the garage. I bought a cleaner to remove the tape off my car. It took forever but its off. My dad and I put a seal on the sunroof. Then he put rainx on my windows while I wired up the windshield wiper motor. Here it is.
Image

The bottom middle switch is the wipers. I am still going to wire in the windows on the bottom left and right.
Image

Took her out for the first time with the new motor
Image

Now s*** went wrong. For some reason the turbo was working on and off which was really annoying me. That was a big problem. Then i started to pull to the right pretty hard. I thought my alignment was bad so I went home and took my rear wheels off to look at the suspension. Then two studs broke on my spacers. I ended up taking them off and running without them looking stupid.
Image

Turns out in the first 10 min I was out I went over a screw with my new tires. That was a nightmare because I couldn't get a jack under my car with the flat. Once I figured it out I had a different tire on, but it was wider so i had to raise the car 1.5"
Image

In the end I made it to the drift event. The story continues there, but I don't have the time now. Pictures and video will fallow soon.

The car is a lot of fun to drive... But yesterday I hit a pothole and flattened my oil pan. I had it towed home. I won't work on it till January. I hope my new motor is fine...

Yea. I doubt it will sell. If it wasn't a gutted race car it would be easier. But oh well. I am selling it because I have spent, and am spending way too much money on this car. If it sells I will get a 350Z and keep it simple. If it doesn't, I'm getting a stage 4 clutch and going to 18psi.

I removed my oil pan and pounded out some of the dents. I also replaced my oil pickup and I still have no oil pressure. I replaced my oil pressure gauge and sensor and now I have 25psi. I know this still isn't right because I use to have 50psi. I just ordered a new oil pan and I am going to replace that. I also bought a mechanical oil pressure gauge and I'm going to check the system with that. I can't wait to drive it more this year. Also, my better half and I purchased a new Mini Cooper S. I've never owned a new car before and its nice.

The drift season has started and I can't wait to start driving again. I haven't changed much since last year. Nothing major will change this summer. The misses and I bought a new Mini Cooper S, so my modding money is gone.
Image

I bought a new oil pan but have yet to install it. Furthermore, I ordered two more rims to match my spares, but I ordered the wrong ones. I have 4 gold 527's, 2 chromium black 527's, and 2 chromium black 530's. The chromium black 527's were suppose to be 530's.
Wrong ones

I will get this thing back on the road and drive it daily this summer. I also plan to make it to a couple Shawano events, Road America, and Automass. It's going to be a good summer!

I bought a new oil pan to fix my pressure issue. Thanks to iLL Garage for the amazing welding job on fitting my oil return line. Looks factory. This fixed my problem. Car runs like a champ!
Image

I finally put my spacers on. I haven't changed my tires since the last drift event. Cambers a b****!
Image

I took my car for a spin, enjoying the good weather. Man she runs good and is such a pleasure to drive.
Image

I'm looking forward to June 9th. There will be drifting at Road America and I will be there sliding. I can't wait. My car needs a wash and I need to wrap the cage. I'm going to buy a black vinyl with metallic flake. Should look nice. I can't wait! It's going to be a fun summer.
