just wondering has any one used a civic intake to move their air filter over to where the battery is? I was thinkin that this would be better then buyin a injen short ram intake for my car cuz i've heard stories of how the intake can get heat soaked. but on the battery side its always pretty cold.

I don't know about a intake specifically for a civic being used but many people have done this with parts from Home Depot etc.

A muffler shop could do custom piping for you. Sort of like what is done with intercooler piping.

i took the metal intake pipe off of my 90 honda accord, cut it down a bit, relocated the battery to the trunk, and viola! free cold air intake!

Short Ram getting heat soaked? WHATTT???!?!? Unless you are sticking it right next to the header, I don;t understand where its going to get heatsoaked.

Thats what i've heard I was just stating what i've read somewhere. that and making an intake seems to be a lot cheaper than anything i've been able to find for my car (sohc)
