Just FYI, you don't have to turn on A/C for heat. When you set your temperature the first time and turn it to AUTO, the car will turn the A/C on. You can simply press the A/C button to turn it off and it will be that way until you turn the AUTO off and on again. It will save you some gas.

Here in Texas, I started to use A/C 2-3 weeks ago and the mileage dropped about 1-2MPG both on city and highway. But, now I am using the instant MPG screen more often and get about 18/22 (should be 19/24 without A/C), so I am happy now.

M45Runner - Thanks for the feedback. I did try manually turning off the A/C so that I had heat only, but then my windows would fog up. The only way from keeping the windows from fogging up was to run the heat with the A/C. We're stay closer to the dew point here in Seattle.

Gotcha.

We would love to take some rains from Seattle - Here in Dallas, the dry and hot season just started - today's high is 89F, no rain what so ever maybe until late Sep.

Here in Wenatchee, WA we can usually turn the A/C off for heat; drier and sun nier than the Western side of the Cascades.
