Ok, so got my new Circuit Sports V3 shifter today. I know this doesn't come with the lower rubber boot. Is anyone running these types of shifters without it? My current boot is torn, and the stock shifter leaks a little bit, just enough to give me that o-so-pleasant smell of gear oil to get me going in the morning!

A couple 240's ago, I got the B&M shifter and it came with the boot of course, and I know this one is cheap compared to that, but I thought that maybe if it really needed it, it would come with the boot. (even though the Circuit Sport corner lights I just got didn't come with the rubber seal around the top on the drivers side, so I know their consistency and quality isn't too spectacular.)

My local dealer has the lower boot in stock, should I pick this up?

Thanks dudes!

I would pick it up. It's less for keeping the smell of gear oil sealed in and more for keeping road debris out of the gearbox. Without it, crap can jump up and in the shifter.

Sweet. Sounds like a plan. Thanks for the input.
