I find that car gorgeous.
Unfortunately, this is a current model, and history has shown that for Nissan, this doesn't seem to have any bearing to their future releases.
The models sold in Japanese (and other) markets have always gotten goodies that the US never saw. Very few goodies were exclusive to the US.
Apart from the V8 engine option, they really held back on the creature comforts for the Y51 platform (2011+)
The relationship to the US models goes thus:
- The US 2002-2006 Infiniti Q45 existed as the 2001-2010 Nissan Cima.
- The US 2006-2010 Infiniti M had a Nissan Fuga counterpart from 2004-2009.
- The US 2011-2019 Infiniti M/Q70 had a Nissan Fuga counterpart from 2009 to date.
As you can see, the US is usually behind on their offerings, calendar-wise.
- When the long wheelbase model joined the US line-up in 2015 as the Q70L, it had already been in production as the 2012+ Nissan Cima.
Nissan revived the Cima name on the new body style, but only for the LWB version of the Fuga Hybrid. So, the latest Cima was only offered with the hybrid powertrain.
The US LWB was only offered with the V8 & 3.7 V6 (no hybrid option) and was also as barebones as a long wheelbase sedan could be.
My 2003 Q45 has a lot of the stuff in that video, which the US dropped over the years. I do wish they offered more interior options though.
I have seen a US brochure which might have been a pre-release leak, because they were talking about factory options like those headrest monitors, which didn't seem to ever materialize.
