I have a 1993 J30 and was wondering what I would need to do to make the cigarette lighter work.

First off, I can plug chargers in and stuff to it correct? If not, how can I make this possible.

condition: It doesn't acknowledge it's plugged in if I plug anything in. When I try to use it the conventional way for lighting cigarettes, it also doesn't work.

Is there a fuse I have to replace. How and where?! Price!? Thanks! I'm completely new to a lot of this stuff.

as long as you can find the fuse box, and read the diagram. it shouldnt be too hard to do.

MmhhhJust want my phone charger, a GPS (sometimes, won't use that often) and then MAYBE a underdash neon if I can't figure out how to hook it up without the cigarette lighter.

I was wondering about that too... can you wire neons for under the passenger and driver side dash and then have it hooked to a flip-switch that's connected to the battery? I really don't feel like hooking them up to the lighter.

yea, just find a constant 12V line in the car and tap into that.

ive got a similar idea where i would actually replace the center wood thingie with some plexi and put 3 cigarette lighters in place of the ash tray. my jig saw died, so i only got halfway through the plexi. and havent touched it for a few months now.
