Cigarette Lighter question

Hello,

I think I overloaded my 12V DC cigarette lighter in my 93 J. I had three things plugged in, and they all went out simultaneously. However, the cigarette lighter fuse is still okay. I put in another one, just in case, but the lighter still is not getting power. Does anyone know if there is an inline fuse behind the cigarette socket? Also, the lighter is no longer getting hot. Does anyone know how to remove the socket on a J, and any ideas as to what might be going wrong?

There is no in line fuse behind your 12v cig lighter. You may want to pop out the gearshift trim take out the two screws that hold the deck trim on and see if maybe the contact has slid off the back of the cig lighter. This has happened to me a bunch of times. pain in the ***.
