yea the bumper support is a ncie thing to have. although, if you didnt cut as big of a hole in the bumper, and cut a hole accordingly in the support, it MIGHT look fine. but im not sure how much structural integrity you would lose by doing so..

I think if the top hole that was cut out had the same outside angles as the bottom it would look better...if that makes any sense.

yea definately. the lines really make or break it. im probably doing this when i put the IC on this spring. i just like the idea of the extra flow. probably wont cut anything that drastic though. cuz i dont want to lose my legs if i hit a squirrel..

the only way I see it looking ok is if you cut it all the way, following the lines of the bumper so there isn't a hole in it, more of an extension of the gap already there

yea that would look a lot nicer, but you would have to take out the bumper support. which is sucky. if you did it like on the last picture, but made it follow the lines of the lower gap, and a little narrower height wise, you could probably still retain some of the structural integrity of the pumper support while still having a beneficial hole.

if any of that makes sense...

I highly doubt that a little cut like that would do anything for air flow. Definately nothing noticeable. And it's a big negative if you lose the bumper support.

yea i doubt it would make a "huge" difference, but if you look at the last picture where the hole is cut out, the bumper was covering up litterally 50% of the intercooler. which is never a good thing. Its more of comfort factor than anything i think..

Thanks for starting this thread OP.

I've been planning to do this for a few months now as a way to get better air flow into my oil cooler which will be mounted above my FMIC. Here is an idea of what a URAS triple duct would llok like on a chuki bumper

My intercooler already prohibits the use of the entire bumper support so I have to lose the center portion and I'll keep the ends on to keep my bumper from sagging.

I think at that point a pignose bumper would look better and be functional. that is why I haven't gone chuki, the slits in the pignose can be cut out and won't cause it to look any different than before
