define a stage two turbo.
please.
The reason most non nissan people talk about stages is because thats how you buy the kits...in stages, each stage equalling a higher HP output. stage 1 turbo is nothing more than a factory turbo with a slightly larger impeller insade, most stage 1 turbo kits come with larger FMIC. A stage 2 turbo kit is a larger turbo, in Mitsubishi terms a 2nd Gen Eclipse has a 14b and the 1st gen has the 16g (or is the other way around) so basically when you get a Stage 2 turbo you have upgraded to a larger turbo. Still streetable but you can actually be somewhat competitive on the track as well. Stage 3 is street strip application and stage 4 is a full race setup. While it does sound gay and you automatically think of Gran turismo, that is how they sell the kits at most shops. Turbos and Clutches are usually the only things broken down into stages, but the you can get engine buildups in stages to depending n the application you going for.
As far as the I4 found in the sebring its the same 2.4L found in the PT Cruiser and Neon, the turbo versions are in the GT Cruiser and the SRT4. Either way the Mitsubishi equivalant (4G64) found in Galants and 3rd Gen Eclipse's make more power and torque and are way more reliable.
I realize I'm going to get flamed for this, but if you turbo a KA block and turbo a 4G64 block you will make roughly the same amount of power and if you raced a turbo'd KA Maxima against a turbo'd 7th or 8th gen Galant you would have a very tight race.
As far as the tard who called your car rice, the fact that he wants to buy a 2G Talon with a stage 2 turbo... all I have to say is that a stage 2 will only make 450HP if the block has been modified and the cams are done, if he said a stage 3 turbo then yeah thats believable because that's basically a 18G turbo with internal wastegates a full race FMIC and 600cc fuel capacity. All I can say is that I hope the 2G head was swapped for a 1G head because otherwise he's in for a big surprise.
I happen to like DSM's almost as much as Nissan's...could be worse I could be gaga for Honda.
